It describes and evaluates a simple model to estimate the packet loss rate from application level measurements, like the ones performed by Neubot. The paper was presented in Helsinki on 17 August 2012, in the context of ACM SIGCOMM W-MUST 2012, the Workshop on Measurements Up and Down the Stack, hosted by ACM SIGCOMM Conference.

[2011-11-16] The article “The hitchhiker’s guide to the Network Neutrality Bot test methodology” by Simone Basso, Antonio Servetti and Juan Carlos De Martin, presented on November 16, 2011 at the Congresso AICA 2011, documents the details of the HTTP test, discusses the privacy policy that allows the Project to publish raw results, and provides a qualitative by-ISP description of the Turin-area data. [2011-07-01] The article "The network neutrality bot architecture: a preliminary approach for self-monitoring of Internet access QoS" by Simone Basso, Antonio Servetti and Juan Carlos De Martin, presented on July 1, 2011 at the IEEE 16th International Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC'11), describes enhancements of the Neubot architecture to be able to host "plug-in" tests and starts a preliminary discussion on the results collected in the first three months after the public release of the software.
